Using money as though it is toilet paper is often frowned upon. However, that is exactly what the government did. They spent 40 million dollars on a few pots of flowers, some lamp posts, glass panels and disco lights, claiming that this beautifies the landscape. To put it quite frankly, almost nobody could appreciate, let alone tell the difference. Would you, the taxpayer, want your money to be wasted? I think not. Therefore, the Orchard Road makeover is not worth it.
